Our Owners
Richard Trevor — Co-Owner
Richard has spent ten years guiding Eddrachilles through some of the most challenging periods in hospitality, from Brexit to the pandemic. He looks after hotel operations in the broadest sense: from wifi and old-manse maintenance to strategic planning and finances. Before moving to Sutherland, Richard held senior international leadership roles in the IT sector, working in Switzerland, Brazil, South Africa and latterly the UK.
Born in what is now Zambia and raised partly in South Africa, he later attended school in Highland Perthshire and Welbeck Sixth Form College before studying Russian and Scandinavian languages at Aberdeen. His parents ran a heritage guesthouse on their small estate at East Haugh near Pitlochry, where he first learned the rhythms of hospitality. When not at the hotel, Richard is usually on the water with their traditional wooden motor yacht or walking the dogs.
Fiona Campbell Trevor — Co-Owner
A Scot with a long Highland and NE Scotland heritage, Fiona brings a career background in politics, business and strategic communications. After graduating in History from the University of Glasgow, she worked with leaders in various large businesses and public sector organisations.. She also served as an elected councillor. She retired from corporate life in 2014 and later completed a year of professional Cordon Bleu training “for fun,” giving her a useful ability to talk menus and ingredients with the kitchen team.
Fiona looks after guest experience, storytelling, digital strategy and the 3-acre gardens. When not in the hotel or the woodland grounds, she can sometimes be found serving as “incompetent crew” aboard the family boat.
