By Road to Eddrachilles Hotel
Inverness to Ullapool - winter (we have much less snow on the coast!). However, we recommend all season tyres year round in the Highlands.

The hotel’s 70 metre driveway leads in directly from the A894, two miles south of Scourie or 7 miles north of Kylesku. We are approximately half-way from Inverness on the North Coast 500 route.

VIntage, Classic and High Performance Cars
There are several vintage, classic and high performance car clubs that regularly book into Eddrachilles Hotel for one or two nights as part of a tour of the North Coast 500 or the Northern Highlands. ;As Eddrachilles is outside a village, our hotel car parking is discreet.
taxis
There is now a taxi service Ullataxis based in Ullapool which will undertake transfers or day trips. They can be contacted by phone on 07795622627 (book in advance!). Occasionally the Durness Bus company can also provide private hire services - book well in advance. However, there is no local (Scourie, Lochinver or Kylesku based) taxi service and for insurance reasons the team at Eddrachilles are unable to provide that service ourselves.
Filling Stations close to Eddrachilles
Petrol and diesel are available 24/7 from Scourie Filling Station about 2.5 miles north of the hotel. However, you must have a debit or credit card that is PIN enabled to operate the pumps if you wish to use them. .There are also 24/7 filling station facilities in Ullapool and Lochinver. In Durness the facility is open six days a week but closed on Sunday
There is a public charging point for Electric Vehicles at the north end of Scourie. EV charging is still a challenge in the NW Highlands.

Cyclists Welcome at Eddrachilles
For those travelling by bicycle, Eddrachilles has a shed facility for storing bikes as well as all the necessary comforts and refuelling.
Owner Richard has now retired from cycling but has personal experience of cycling holidays including a 700+ mile Iona to John O’Groats coastal quest on a recumbent tricycle - in 2010 before the launch of the NC500.
We’re happy to advise on the local roads and route planning.
