Dinner at The Glebe Kitchen

Relaxed-refined Highland cooking in the historic manse

Dinner at Eddrachilles is shaped by the landscape around us and the spirit of the old manse — thoughtful, seasonal dishes prepared in the former manse kitchen and dairy room, using fresh ingredients and classical technique.

The Calm Rhythm: Our Three Sittings for Dinner

We offer three sittings — 6pm, 7pm and 8pm — so every dish is cooke at the right moment. In our small manse kitchen working with fresh ingredients and no separate “stations” this simply rhythm keeps service calm and focused. .

Guests are kindly asked to arrive a least 15 minutes before the time of their chosen sitting. If a delay is unavoidable, we may need to move your reservation to the next sitting so every guest’s food is cooked as it should be.

Choose Your Evening

Seasonal fixed-priced menus, priced for however your evening calls

Some evenings call for the whole dining experience. Some just call for supper. Either way, you’ll know exactly what you are paying before you sit down.

  • £58 - full three courses

  • £47 - two courses (main + either starter or dessert)

  • £35 - Highland Supper in July and August only, otherwise subject to availability. One main course.

Each option includes home-made bannock and bread rolls with whipped butter, and coffee or tea with Eddrachilles fudge to finish.

Our best value DB&B rates are designed for guests who enjoy eating well over several evenings, with a menu that changes as your stay unfolds. Six main courses each night ( meat, seafood and vegetarian) with Scotch Beef steak options with a small supplement as well. The desserts include a Highland cheese plate (no supplement). Rain or shine, dinner stays warm unhurried and indoors - nobody has to watch the forecast once they are though our door.

We publish the day’s menu each afternoon - the latest is here

Dietary Requirements, Medical Constraints

As our chefs prepare all dishes from fresh ingredients, we’re well placed to adapt many for dietary requirements. Vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and lactose-free options are available most evenings (marked on the menu or please ask). We also do our best to cater for specialist medical diets including providing purées or easy swallow plates. We are proud of our food but we understand the challenges of eating out with a chronic condition and aim to be as inclusive as possible. Please let us know in confidence when booking - especially as deliveries to this remote location can take extra time.

Children at The Glebe Kitchen

Children under 12 years are very welcome at dinner (accommodation bookings are for ages 12+). While we don’t offer a set children’s menu, our chefs are very happy to prepare a simple favourite for younger guests - well discuss this with you on arrival, or you are welcome to call ahead. High chairs and changing facilities are available.

Dogs Welcome Dining

We have a dedicated dog-friendly area within the restaurant (the stone flagged area originally the manse kitchen). Please select the dog-friendly option when booking online, or let us know when you call so we can seat you comfortably. At breakfast when there is free seating we are happy to reserve a table for you if you wish to bring your dog with you. There’s a complimentary foil wrapped sausage for every dog (subject to owner’s approval).

We do ask that all dogs are well-behaved, remain by their owners’ table, and do not interfere with other guests. We operate a three bark rule and if it’s breached then the culprit will face a walk of shame . In most cases however, a short walk outside is enough to settle a dog before rejoining your table. We are, of course, not above bribery and have a good range of doggie snacks free of charge, padded mats and water bowls on hand at all times!
