Come for the Views, Return for the Food

Six of our ten ensuite rooms overlook Badcall Bay toward the mountains of Assynt. Our AA Rosette restaurant, The Glebe Kitchen, serves modern Scottish cuisine in the former manse kitchen, where our professional chefs prepare locally-sourced dishes that have earned us a reputation well beyond our hotel guests—one-third of our diners now travel specifically for the food.

AWARD-WINNING DOG-FRIENDLY HAVEN

We’re proud three-time Good Hotel Guide Editor’s Choice winners for Dog-Friendly accommodation (2019, 2024, 2026)—the only category we’ve won three times. This isn’t just about allowing dogs; it’s about genuine, welcome for your best friend(s). Five of our rooms accommodate canine guests, and our 3 acres of grounds (with dog-proof cattle grid), curated walking maps with Gaelic name interpretations, and outdoor warm-water washing station make this perfect dog-walking country.

£20 per stay (not per night) includes welcome pack, towels, bowls, and a quality breakfast sausage served wrapped in foil at breakfast.

OUR STORY

Richard and Fiona took over Eddrachilles in 2016, gently refurbishing this B-listed manse while honouring its 200-year history as the heart of the “Free State of Eddrachillis.” Today we offer the kind of thoughtful Highland hospitality we seek in our own travels—genuine, unpretentious, and rooted in this remarkable landscape.
