Rewarding Loyalty in 2026

At Eddrachilles our discounts and reward schemes should be easy to use and simple to administer. Wherever possible, we want them to benefit guests who invest time and money in our hotel through longer stays. From time to time, however, as patterns of guest reservations change, we need to adapt. In the case of our long established Loyalty Discount for Accommodation, it is time for a full replacement.

Our first loyalty discount scheme was launched in 2016. Under this scheme, returning guests were given 1 per cent discount for each previous visit to Eddrachilles Hotel irrespective of the duration of the stay and when it occurred.. The discount was applied to the accommodation charges on their invoice. The maximum discount was ten per cent. It was claimed by mentioning previous visits at the time of booking or at check-in and we simply confirmed this against our booking records.

In the past decade there have been many changes in guest reservations.

  • The North Coast 500 has encouraged more overnight stays, booking at short notice

  • Overnight guests are the least likely to book dinner with us (although many do)

  • Guests often have and use multiple emails making verification increasingly difficult - this is key.

  • OTAs like Booking.com don’t give us access to an individual’s email.

We therefore closed the initial scheme in November 2025.

New Approach for 2026 Onwards

  • Rewards will now come through a new rate model focused on multi-night and long stays.

    • We are launching in January 2026 a new long stay discounted rate for bookings of 5+nights

    • We will transfer any existing bookings that qualify to that rate.

    • The multi-night rate now applies to stays of 2-4 nights, long stays 5+ nights

  • Booking directly gives every guest access to these discounted rates. You won’t find them on an OTA.

  • We are removing the need for verification of previous stays which just wasn’t working

  • Taking a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate offers the best value.

  • We’ve kept our single/solo occupancy of a room rate adding a 5+night discount option

  • We are introducing a newsletter in March 2026. This will provide our latest news and “first dibs” on offers to subscribers
