Our Food

It will delight our regular guests to know that Head Chef Trevor Williams. winner of a Medallion d’Or in 2023, has returned for a fifth season in 2024.

We provide a "taste of the north", a delicious combination of Scottish ingredients, classic culinary skills and contemporary techniques. All served in our gently paced restaurant which has a maximum of 24 covers each evening. Our local Highland larder and local suppliers provides us with shellfish caught in the bay, and game from the surrounding moors as well as some vegetables and herbs grown in our own Polycrub.

Non-resident guests are welcome to join us for dinner. However, reservations for dinner at Eddrachilles Hotel are essential for all guests..

Dine with Us

Our dinner table d’hôte menu changes each day. The shortened and full versions are offered at set prices.

The table d’hôte menu usually includes three starter options (one of which will be vegetarian), four main options (one meat or game, one seafood/fish, one vegetarian, and a Scotch Beef steak), and three desserts or Northern Highlands cheese plate. Selections can be made from our quality wine and bar lists.

Our chefs can adapt dishes for guests who have allergies, follow medically prescribed, or life-choice diets.. However, our remote location means that all supplies have to be ordered well in advance so please advise us of any specific requirements when booking.

Reservations for dinner are essential. Those not staying in the hotel are welcome to join us from 6.00 pm. allowing plenty of time to enjoy a pre-dinner drink and the views from the lounge bar or sun lounge. There are typically two sittings, 7.00pm and 8.00pm - and your table is yours for the evening.

Breakfast

Our generous Highland breakfast includes a selection of fresh fruit, juices, compote, yoghurts and cereals while a choice of hot dishes are cooked to order. Accompanied by Jeniers' teas (from Linwood), Glen Lyon coffee, breads and Scottish honey and locally made preserves.

Breakfast is served in the Restaurant from 7.45 am until 9.15 am, exclusively for our resident hotel guests. Early breakfasts without the hot dishes can be arranged on request for those hillwalkers, bird watchers, photographers and other intrepid members of our hotel guests.
