Accommodation at the Eddrachilles Hotel in Scotland

Scotland Hotel - Window View Over Badcall Bay

Staying at the Eddrachilles Hotel offers a cosy and comfortable retreat, a chance to relax, unwind & recharge. We pride ourselves on traditional Highland hospitality with thoughtful touches to make your stay just a little more special.

With its own extensive grounds leading to the shore of beautiful Badcall Bay, the views from the hotel include the majestic mountain Quinaig, gentle moorland hills and brightly painted fishing boats. Six of our ten guest bedrooms have sea views over Badcall Bay while four overlook the hotel’s courtyard garden.

Scotland Hotel Accomodation - Double Bedroom Hotel Accommodation - View From Double Bedroom

As in many heritage west coast Highland houses, the bedrooms of this former manse were designed for comfort and cosiness rather than grandeur. The decor is simple and traditional rather than opulent. Taking over in March 2016, the new owners have commenced a programme of refurbishments and are steadily enhancing guest services. Over the next few years Fiona and Richard will put their own stamp on the accommodation while retaining the building’s traditional charm and the appeal of a Highland home.

All of our rooms have en-suites with bath or shower, the ensuites in the sea view bedrooms were refurbished in January 2017. Each bedroom can comfortably accommodate two people, three of them are double rooms (Kingsize beds) and seven rooms can be set as double (SuperKing) OR twin rooms as required. A few rooms have space for a cot or small child bed but none are large enough for an additional adult bed.

Located in one of Europe’s last wildernesses, the hotel has basic connectivity. There is satellite internet access in the hotel (via WiFi in the public areas) but it is slow. Mobile phone reception is very weak or non-existent. To make up for this we have a very reasonable charging policy on UK calls made from room phones. There is also a large selection of books and board games, and the lounge features an open fire. The spacious sun lounge and the benches in the gardens offer places to enjoy the glorious sea views and sunsets. Guests can also enjoy the selection of wines, malt whiskies, Scottish craft gins and artisan beers from the bar to help pass Sutherland’s long, softly lit, summer evenings.

Each room has:

  • Egyptian cotton bed linen and fluffy towels
  • Hypoallergenic duvets and pillows
  • En-suite bath or shower room
  • Guest Toiletries
  • TV with Freeview, radio clock alarm
  • Tea / Coffee making facilities
  • Hairdryer
  • Local Information

If you have any specific requirements or questions about our rooms please contact us and we will be happy to assist where possible. Options include hand crafted chocolates, champagne or sparkling wine on ice in your room on arrival.
